Today during Hands on Hanford we went over their articles and they were able to 1. rewrite ONE of their articles in their own words and summarize the importance of knowing this information when comparing the 70's to today. Students are beginning to realize that many patterns in history are just that...patterns and repeat themselves.
We also organized their binders so that they now know what is in them!
We also began looking at President Ronald Reagan and the students used textbooks to analyze what the Foreign policy and the economic policies were for both Carter and Reagan. They will use these notes on Monday.
I encouraged all the students to be working on their BQ's over the weekend so as we discuss their requirements they won't be so shocked! Their final BQ's will be anywhere between 10-15 pages long so they really should have something written now!
Book projects are due on Monday!!
Middle School Language Arts edited their December Newspaper!! Look for it on Monday! They also shared their Mad Lib stories....they all did a fantastic job!
Middle School History class continued to work on the CBA (Classroom Based Assessment) with myself and Mrs. Davies helping them edit their papers. Their final drafts are due on Monday and should be typed up and double spaced!
Cooking class prepared their recipe books, cleaned out the kitchen cupboards and even made Oatmeal Cookies...we had an extremely busy day but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!
