Hands on Hanford has had a GREAT conversation about President Richard Nixon and the political/social climate of the 70's. For homework they need to connect what they learned about the 70's with what is going on today. For example: war, economy, social unrest, etc. ONE paragraph is what is expected on Monday.
Also their final draft of Essay #1 is due on Monday as well. It should be typed up and at least 5 paragraphs long.
Middle School Language Arts: Had the opportunity to interview high school students for their articles, selected articles as well as peer edited their articles. Look for the newspaper on December 15th!! Final drafts of their articles are due on Monday!
Middle School History: Finalized their "Classroom Based Assessment" assignment by looking up another perspective. All students should have their 3 perspectives done by Monday and we will begin to write their rough drafts then.
Cooking class was a BLAST! They are working on a little surprise as well as had a Cupcake Challenge where they transformed 24 cupcakes into a Winter Scene. The high school beat out the Middle Schoolers but not by much!!
Have a great weekend everyone and we will see you on Monday!!
