Week of October 20th

Hands on Hanford students have been studying the Cold War; looking at the differnces of Kruschev and Reagan as well as interviewing their parents about what their parents remember of the Cold War. Interesting fact: Two parents remembered the Vietnam War and the majority remembered the Berlin Wall coming down. A few remembered nothing...a good connection is that many students in the classroom only could recall September 11th as a major event in their own lives!!
Thursday we traveled around the streets of Jadwin looking for ABC homes; homes that were built during the Hanford-Manhattan Project~!
Homework: ALL BQ EVIDENCE IS DUE ON MONDAY~~Students are to bring in their information (books, videos, etc.)

Middle School Language Arts: Students have finalized the newspaper and are proud to present it all to you on Monday for conferences.

Middle School History: Students have finished up on their Statehood and are customizing their own board games.

Conference News: Parents are encouraged to take home all diaramas and projects from my classes!!

Hope to see you all at the Conferences on the 27th!!
