**As always 30 minutes reading with a short summary (5-7 sentences) of what you read**

Read :”Incident in a Rose Garden” by Donald JusticeAnswer questions: 1-3 and 5 page 149 and #2 on page 150
Read: “Annabel Lee” and “The Bells” by Edgar Allan Poe pg 199
Answer questions #1-4 on page 204Do Activity under Literary Analysis on pg 204Thursday: No School
Read the Author Study of Edgar Allan Poe on page 194-197. After reading write a 3 paragraph essay explaining how his life led to his writing. Be creative and think outside the box!!


High School World Geography
Monday’s Topic: Culture
In Class Activity: Cultures; what are they and how do they impact us? Language, food, dress, and religions

Homework: Complete assigned work on APEX.

Thursday: No School—Research your country and bring on Monday 3 recipes from your home country as well as an illustration of ‘traditional dress”

Middle School United States History
Monday’s Topic: Amendments of the Constitution

Homework Tuesday: Using the chart; define and illustrate the listed Amendments

Middle School Language Arts

Monday’s Topic: Poetry
Homework: Students will need to read a minimum of 30 minutes a night and will write a 5 sentence of summary of what is occurring in their book.

Tuesday’s Homework: Read “Messy Room” by Shel Silverstein. Using the Poetry Handout find the examples that exist in the poem and write them out.
Wednesday’s Homework: Using the “Paint with words” handout, write your own nature poem. Highlight the poetry terms you used.

Thursday: No School-Activity to do at home: Select lyrics to your favorite song and write/print them out. Analyze them to see which poetry terms they used in class.

Writing/Reading Workshop:Students were given their Workshop Workbooks. These will be what the students work on independently in class. Student’s final drafts of their newspaper articles were completed in class and hopefully next Monday (March 2nd) they will be passing out the newest edition!!

Cooking Class: There is no class on Thursday but please keep working on your techniques, menus and recipes!!
