Monday’s Topic: Research Writing

Tuesday and Wednesday Homework **As always 30 minutes reading a night…4th quarter you will have a weekly reading reflection assignment due on a weekly basis!** Tuesday’s homework:

Read “Charles” by Shirley Jackson. Do all questions on pages 198-200. Choose one of the three activities under “Writing it down”.

Wednesday’s homework: Read “All summer in a day” by Ray Bradbury. Do all questions pages 209-211.

Thursday: Writing in the Workplace


World Geography

Monday’s Topic: World Religions

Homework: Complete assigned work on APEX.

Thursday: Oil, oil everywhere.

Middle School United States History
Monday’s Topic: What started the Civil War?

Homework Tuesday: Generals who made the war-handout
Wednesday’s Homework: Mapping the war-handout: Select a battle of the Civil War and map it on your Map. Be sure to describe the battle completely in your response.

Thursday’s Topic: Major events of the Civil War

Monday’s Topic: Persuasive Writing

Homework: Students will need to read a minimum of 30 minutes a night and complete their weekly reading assignment.

Tuesday’s Homework: Read “I am Rosa Parks” and answer the “reread” questions throughout the reading as well as 1-3 of Think it Through on page 226.

Wednesday’s Homework: Read “You Dirty Rat” and define: smuggle, conceal, torture, intrigued and comical. Answer questions 1-4 on page 239.

Thursday: Reflection on this week’s literature samples…personal stories and what do they truly mean to us today?
